What is the principle of Fluorescent Drawing Board?

The Fluorescent Drawing Tablet, also known as a fluorescent light box or LED Light Pad, is a device designed to help artists, illustrators, and designers create and depict drawings and designs with greater precision. The fluorescent drawing board is a product derived from the interesting expansion and functional use requirements of the Drawing Board. It has a wide range of uses. Not limited to adults, fluorescent drawing boards are safe for children to use, but it's important to follow a few principles to ensure they're safe and look great. The working principle of fluorescent drawing board is fluorescence and phosphorescence.

Fluorescent Drawing Board

Here's how they work:

Fluorescence: Fluorescence is the phenomenon in which a substance absorbs light of a specific wavelength and then emits light of a longer wavelength. If it is a fluorescent drawing board, the surface of the board is coated with special fluorescent material. When this material is exposed to ultraviolet (UV) light, which is normally invisible to the human eye, it absorbs the UV light and re-emits it as visible light. This visible light creates a fluorescent effect, making the drawings or text on the board visible.

Phosphorescence: Phosphorescence is a special type of fluorescence that continues to emit light after the light source is removed. In some advanced fluorescent drawing boards, the fluorescent material used is phosphorescence. When exposed to UV light, the material not only fluoresces (immediately emits visible light) but also phosphoresces, meaning it continues to glow for a short time even after the UV light source is turned off. This property allows a picture or text to glow in the dark, creating a captivating visual effect.

To sum up, fluorescent drawing boards use fluorescent and phosphorescent materials to absorb light and then emit light, making any pictures or text on the board visible. These boards are often used in educational settings, art studios and entertainment venues for creative and interactive activities.
